According to reports, the incident occurred when a group of young men were allegedly creating a disturbance outside a shop in the area. The shopkeeper, identified as Aftab, reportedly asked them to stop making excessive noise.

The request allegedly led to an argument between the shopkeeper and the group. The situation quickly escalated, and one of the young men allegedly attacked Aftab with a sharp-edged weapon, striking him in the chest.

Aftab sustained serious injuries in the attack and was rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. However, he reportedly succumbed to his injuries after reaching the hospital.

Following the incident police responded quickly after receiving an emergency call through the 15 police helpline. Officers took immediate action and arrested the suspected attacker.

Model Town police officials said the suspect was identified as Khurram also known by the alias Mani. Police said the suspect was allegedly making noise in the street with his friends when the shopkeeper objected leading to a confrontation.

According to police, the suspect admitted his involvement in the incident following his arrest. A case has been registered against him and he has been handed over to the investigation police for further legal proceedings.

The body of the deceased identified as Aftab was shifted for the completion of medico-legal formalities, police said.

Senior police officials condemned the incident and stated that individuals who take the law into their own hands would not be given any concession. Authorities said the suspect would be presented before the court with a strong case after completion of the investigation.

The incident has raised concerns about the escalation of minor disputes into violent confrontations. What reportedly began as an objection to noise in a residential street ended in a fatal attack, highlighting the dangers of resolving everyday disagreements through violence.

Police have continued their investigation to establish the complete circumstances surrounding the killing. Further legal action will be taken according to the findings of the investigation and applicable law.
