Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke with Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Friday to discuss the regional situation, developments in the Gulf and ways to further strengthen trade and investment ties between Pakistan and Malaysia.
According to an official statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted Anwar Ibrahim and inquired about his health. He also conveyed his best wishes for the Malaysian prime minister’s speedy and complete recovery.
During the conversation, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive progress in bilateral relations between Pakistan and Malaysia. They agreed on the importance of maintaining the current momentum and further expanding cooperation, particularly in the areas of bilateral trade and investment.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the regional situation, with particular attention given to developments in the Gulf. The discussion comes amid heightened concerns over regional stability and the need for diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.
