Tarar wrote to the inspector general of Punjab Police, calling for a complete and comprehensive investigation into the incident in accordance with the law.
In his letter, the law minister stressed that the investigation should be conducted on a priority basis to ensure justice for the victim and her family.
He also sought a detailed report on the progress of the investigation and directed the relevant authorities to keep him informed about developments in the case.
According to the Ministry of Human Rights, the incident took place in Dhok Ratta, Rawalpindi.
A first information report (FIR) has been registered at Ratta Amral Police Station in connection with the murder.
The FIR was registered on September 3 on the complaint of Saba Mahboob’s stepbrother.
The law minister’s intervention comes as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. The Punjab Police have been asked to ensure that all relevant aspects of the case are examined and that the investigation proceeds in accordance with legal requirements.
