London: “Pakistan Khappay” slogan needed to promote unity and stability in Azad Kashmir, PPP UK 

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) UK President Mohsin Bari, Overseas Commissioner Azad Kashmir Azhar Iqbal Baralvi and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Shaukat Dar have said that in the current situation there is a need to raise the slogan of “Pakistan Khappay” in Azad Kashmir to promote unity, stability and national solidarity.

Addressing a joint press conference in London, they said that all political and social groups should work together to resolve differences through dialogue and mutual understanding.

The press conference was attended by Special Assistants to the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, including Raja Mazhar Hayat, Shaban Chaudhry, Aftab Baghi, Shaukat Dar, Amanat Ali Anjum, Agha Tanveer Iqbal and Chaudhry Waheed Iqbal.

Speaking on the occasion, PPP UK President Mohsin Bari said that the Pakistan Peoples Party has always promoted politics based on national reconciliation, democracy and political stability. He said that after the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan faced a period of uncertainty and unrest, but President Asif Ali Zardari’s historic slogan of “Pakistan Khappay” helped defeat attempts to spread further instability.

He added that Azad Kashmir also needs the same spirit of unity and reconciliation today so that national interests can be prioritised above differences.

Overseas Commissioner Azad Kashmir Azhar Iqbal Baralvi said that efforts for political reconciliation and peace initiated by the leadership of Azad Kashmir are a positive step. He urged all political and social circles to move forward with patience, tolerance and understanding to resolve issues.

Special Assistant Raja Mazhar Hayat said that confrontation is not in anyone’s interest and all matters should be resolved through negotiations and consultation. He stressed that political stability and public confidence in Azad Kashmir can be strengthened through a peaceful and democratic approach.

The participants of the press conference emphasised that the people and political leadership of Azad Kashmir should demonstrate unity, tolerance and national harmony. They said that resolving differences through democratic means is essential for the bright future of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.

At the conclusion of the press conference, the speakers expressed hope that political leadership, social organisations and the public would work together to promote peace, development and stability in the region.
