Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader, head of the party’s Peoples Labour Bureau, and former Member of the National Assembly, Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmad, said Pakistan has achieved a stronger political profile on the global stage than at any time since 1974.
He made these remarks while addressing a reception held in his honor in Toronto, Canada, where members of the Pakistani community, political figures, and community leaders gathered to welcome him.
During his speech, Manzoor Ahmad said Pakistan continues to strengthen its role in promoting regional stability and global peace. He noted that the country’s growing international importance has placed it under close global observation, making even minor developments within Pakistan attract significant international attention.
He emphasized that Pakistan now occupies a more prominent place in international affairs and urged overseas Pakistanis to continue presenting a positive image of the country. He also praised the Pakistani diaspora for maintaining strong ties with their homeland and contributing to Pakistan’s reputation abroad.
Several distinguished guests also addressed the gathering, including former federal minister Shafqat Ali, former Members of the National Assembly Haji Afzal Chan and Mehdi Hassan Bhatti, Liberal Party of Canada provincial president Qaiser Dar, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Javed Gujjar, Owais Iqbal, and other community representatives. The speakers highlighted the importance of strengthening connections between overseas Pakistanis and their homeland while encouraging greater engagement within Canadian society.
