MariEnergies, xLoop Digital graduate first digital skills cohort

ISLAMABAD: MariEnergies Limited and xLoop Digital have celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of their digital skills and employment programme, with all 44 participants securing internships or employment opportunities.

The graduation ceremony for Cohort I of the Mari Digital Skills, Training & Employment Program was held at xLoop Digital’s office in Karachi after the participants completed an intensive five-month training programme.

The initiative was designed to provide young people from rural areas of Pakistan with practical skills needed to enter the rapidly expanding technology sector. The first cohort included 44 participants, including five women.

During the programme, participants received specialised training in Artificial Intelligence, Agentic Development and Full Stack Development. The curriculum combined classroom-based learning with practical, project-oriented assignments to give participants experience in applying their technical knowledge to real-world challenges.

A key achievement of the programme was the employment outcome. All 44 graduates have reportedly been placed in internships or jobs, providing them with an opportunity to begin professional careers in the technology sector.

The graduation ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organisations. MariEnergies Managing Director Faheem Haider, Director HSE Naseem Qamar, xLoop Digital CEO and Founder Mir Nasir, and xLoop Chairman Danish Iqbal were among the corporate leaders present at the event.

Addressing the graduates, Faheem Haider highlighted the importance of continuously developing skills in a rapidly changing global economy. He encouraged the participants to view graduation as the beginning of their professional learning journey rather than its conclusion.

Haider also announced that MariEnergies would provide dedicated support to graduates who decide to pursue university-level higher education, further strengthening the programme’s focus on long-term career development.

Naseem Qamar said the initiative was designed to go beyond conventional training and certification programmes. He said its objective was to establish a practical link between education, employment and sustainable livelihoods.

He also emphasised the importance of identifying and developing talented young people from communities connected to MariEnergies’ operations. According to him, providing such individuals with access to technology-related career opportunities can help unlock talent that might otherwise remain underdeveloped.

The ceremony also recognised graduates who demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the programme.

All participants received certificates marking the successful completion of their training. Top-performing graduates were presented with shields and laptops in recognition of their achievements.

Three participants who maintained a perfect 100 per cent attendance record also received Evee electric bikes through a lucky draw.
