Meera pleads to visit cancer-stricken sister

Pakistani actress Meera has made an emotional appeal to British authorities, seeking permission to travel to the United Kingdom to visit her critically ill sister, Shaista Abbas. The actress said her sister is suffering from advanced-stage cancer and that her condition has become increasingly serious. Meera appealed for a visa on humanitarian grounds, stressing her desire to be by her sister’s side at a time when her family is facing a difficult situation.

Meera also mentioned that her mother, Shafqat Zahra Bukhari, and younger brother, Saeed Hussain Abbas, are currently in London. Their presence there has added to her desire to travel to the UK and reunite with her family while Shaista undergoes treatment.

The actress has also appealed to senior British officials, including Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband and British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott, asking them to consider her circumstances and facilitate her visa request on humanitarian grounds.
