Motorola may plan wide foldable

A new trend appears to be emerging in the foldable smartphone market with companies exploring wider screen designs. 

After Samsung and Huawei, Motorola is reportedly considering a similar approach for its next book style foldable phone. Rumored design sketches of the Motorola device have surfaced online giving a possible look at its overall appearance.

The sketches appear to be hand drawn and show the phone opening into a relatively wide display.

The back of the phone is shown with a horizontal camera bar that could house two camera lenses along with an LED flash or another sensor.

Its design looks somewhat similar to Google Pixel phones. The camera bar may also help keep the phone stable when it is placed on a flat surface.

The inner display appears to feature a punch hole selfie camera.  However details such as the exact dimensions hardware price, and launch date have not been confirmed yet.

If Motorola eventually releases the device it could add more competition to the growing wide foldable smartphone segment especially with Apple also rumored to be exploring a foldable iPhone.
