Muzaffargarh, June 29: In a major operation, Muzaffargarh Police successfully recovered a kidnapped citizen, Talha Rashid, along with Rs45 million in ransom money and an iPhone, officials said on Monday.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah, the victim had been abducted by kidnappers who demanded and received ransom from his family. Acting on special instructions from the DPO, a team led by SHO Shahr Sultan Police Station Inspector Sajid Sultan launched an intensive operation to trace and recover the abductee.

Using modern technology, social media tracking and professional investigative techniques, the police team located the victim in Lahore and safely recovered him along with the ransom amount of Rs45 million and a mobile phone.

The recovered citizen was later handed over to his family members.

DPO Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah personally handed over the recovered cash and the abductee to his parents and praised the efforts of the police team for their swift and effective action.

He said the successful operation was made possible through the use of modern technology, timely intelligence gathering, close coordination with Lahore Police and the professional skills of the investigation team.

The DPO also awarded a certificate of appreciation and commendation to SHO Inspector Sajid Sultan in recognition of his outstanding performance and leadership during the operation.

The family of the recovered citizen expressed gratitude to the police and appreciated their efforts in ensuring the safe recovery of their loved one and the ransom money.

DPO Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah said the entire police team deserved recognition for their dedication, quick response and commitment to protecting the lives and property of citizens.
