Nawaz, Minhas and Faheem fire Pakistan

Pakistan recovered from an early batting collapse to post 302-9 against England in the second ODI tri-series match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Hasan Nawaz led the recovery with an impressive 79 off 74 balls, smashing five fours and four sixes. Arafat Minhas provided crucial support with 59 from 58 deliveries, striking nine boundaries as the pair added 78 runs for the sixth wicket.

Pakistan struggled early after Fakhar Zaman fell for a first-ball duck and Saim Ayub managed just eight. Babar Azam scored 34, while Saad Baig contributed 35, but England kept the hosts under pressure at 133-5.

Nawaz and Minhas rebuilt the innings with an aggressive partnership before Jamie Overton dismissed Nawaz and Sonny Baker removed Minhas in the closing stages.

Faheem Ashraf then delivered a powerful late assault, scoring 39 off just 26 balls, including five fours and a six. His quickfire innings helped Pakistan collect 52 runs in the final five overs and push their total beyond 300.

Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi remained unbeaten on 10, while Haris Rauf finished not out on four.

For England, Baker claimed three wickets for 65 runs, while Gus Atkinson picked up two for 35. Overton took one wicket for 38 runs.
