New CCTV footage has emerged in connection with the murder of young Karachi businessman Mir Raza.
The footage covers more than two hours of the night between July 28 and 29. It has provided investigators with new details about the period around the discovery of Raza’s body.
According to the footage, a person can be seen near the location where the body was later found. The individual appears on camera at around 4:50am.
The person remains in the area for about three minutes. The footage shows the individual walking around near the deserted location.
A police mobile is also visible in the CCTV recording. The presence of the police vehicle close to the location has raised questions about what happened during those early morning hours.
At around 5:08am, the blue and yellow lights of the police mobile can be seen switching on.
A police officer is also visible on the camera at around 5:45am. According to the footage, the officer remained in the area near the body’s eventual discovery point for more than two hours.
The new footage has raised several questions about the circumstances surrounding the case. Investigators are particularly looking into the identity of the person seen walking near the deserted location.
Questions have also been raised about a suspected motorcyclist seen in connection with the area. It remains unclear who the individual and motorcyclist were and why they were present there at that time.
The presence of a police mobile only a few yards from the spot where Raza’s body was later discovered has also drawn attention. Investigators may now examine the timing of the police vehicle’s arrival and the movements of the people captured on CCTV.
Mir Raza was a young businessman from Karachi. His body was found in the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area on the afternoon of July 29.
The latest CCTV footage could provide investigators with additional leads as they attempt to establish the sequence of events before and after Raza’s death.
