Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Nur-ul-Ain and WASA Managing Director Kashan Hafeez Butt, the commissioner visited the Madina Disposal Station to review monsoon preparedness and the ongoing drainage improvement project being executed under the Punjab Development Programme.
He inspected the pumping station, disposal system, machinery and emergency arrangements, directing officials to keep all equipment fully operational to ensure uninterrupted drainage during the rainy season. He stressed that the project should be completed within the stipulated timeline while maintaining construction standards.
Later, Muhammad Ali visited Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital, where he reviewed emergency services, wards, cleanliness, availability of medicines and patient care. He interacted with patients and instructed hospital management to ensure uninterrupted provision of quality healthcare services and warned that negligence would not be tolerated.
The commissioner also inspected Civil Hospital Jalalpur Jattan, where he visited the emergency department, pharmacy and various wards. He met patients and inquired about treatment facilities, availability of medicines and overall healthcare services. He directed the administration to ensure free medicines, improved service delivery and better patient care.
During his visit to Rural Health Centre (Maryam Nawaz Hospital) Tanda, Muhammad Ali reviewed emergency services, pharmacy, wards and other healthcare facilities. He instructed health officials to ensure timely treatment, uninterrupted medicine supply and improved healthcare services for rural residents.
The commissioner also visited the under-construction Maryam Nawaz Ladies and Children Park in Gujrat, where he reviewed the pace and quality of construction. He directed the relevant departments to complete the project within the scheduled timeframe with transparency and quality so that women, children and families could benefit from modern recreational facilities.
Officials briefed the commissioner on the progress of various projects and ongoing administrative measures during the visit.
