The Pakistan Army killed 36 militants during security operations conducted across Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi over a 24-hour period according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

QUETTA: The Pakistan Army killed 36 militants during security operations conducted across Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi over a 24-hour period according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In Mastung, security forces conducted an operation against militants and killed six alleged India-sponsored militants. Ammunition and improvised explosive devices recovered from the militants’ possession were destroyed at the scene, according to ISPR.

Another intelligence-based operation was carried out in the Shaban area of Quetta. Security forces targeted four militant hideouts during the operation and killed 26 militants affiliated with what ISPR described as Fitna al-Khawarij.

Security forces also conducted an intelligence-based operation in Kalat where two alleged India-sponsored militants were killed after their hideout was raided.

In the Bhagh area of Sibi district, security forces launched a retaliatory operation and killed two more alleged India-sponsored militants, ISPR said.

The military’s media wing stated that 48 militants affiliated with Indian proxies, Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij had been killed across Balochistan during operations over the previous 48 to 72 hours.

ISPR further said that more than 1,188 militants had been killed in security operations across Balochistan during 2026.

The security forces and law-enforcement agencies will continue counterterrorism operations under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam framework until the elimination of the last militant, according to the statement.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for what he described as successful operations against militants in Balochistan.

Naqvi said the killing of 36 militants during operations in Mastung, Quetta, Kalat and Sibi represented a major achievement for the security forces. He reiterated that operations against terrorism would continue until the threat was completely eliminated.

The latest operations come amid continued security challenges in Balochistan, with authorities maintaining that intelligence-based operations are being conducted to target militant networks and their hideouts across the province.
