Pakistan, China vow to strengthen strategic partnership

Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their longstanding All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership as both countries continue to expand high-level diplomatic and political engagement.

The Foreign Office spokesperson announced that a high-level delegation of the Communist Party of China had arrived in Pakistan on Sunday. The delegation includes Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China, who is scheduled to reach Islamabad during the visit.

According to the Foreign Office, this will be Liu Haixing’s first official visit to Pakistan. During his stay, he is expected to hold meetings with Pakistan’s political leadership to discuss bilateral relations and explore opportunities for deeper cooperation.

The spokesperson said that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and the Chinese minister would jointly chair a high-level event on November 2.

The visit reflects the continued momentum in high-level exchanges between the two countries, particularly through political party-to-party engagement and regular consultations between their leaderships.

Pakistan and China have maintained close diplomatic, economic and strategic ties over the years. Their cooperation covers several areas, including trade, infrastructure development, investment, regional connectivity and security.

The Foreign Office reiterated that both countries remain committed to strengthening their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership and further expanding cooperation for mutual interests.
