Pakistan dominate group stage at Asian U18 Volleyball championship , remain unbeaten

Pakistan’s Under-18 volleyball team continued their impressive run at the Asian U18 Volleyball Championship, defeating Thailand 3-0 in their final group match to secure the top spot in Group C. The team, competing in Haikou, China, maintained a flawless record throughout the group stage, winning all three matches without dropping a single set.

Pakistan defeated Kyrgyzstan 25-10, 25-15, 25-17, Kazakhstan 25-14, 25-12, 25-9, and Thailand 25-19, 25-19, 25-23. The victory over Thailand was particularly hard-fought, with the Thai side putting up strong resistance in the third set, but the Pakistani players held their nerve to seal the win. Fahad Ali, Muhammad Anas, and Muhammad Irfan delivered standout performances, contributing significantly to the team’s success.

The team had already secured a spot in the quarter-finals after their first two victories, becoming the first team to qualify. Pakistan will now face the runner-up of Pool A in the quarter-finals on July 16, with the opponent determined by the outcome of the match between hosts China and Chinese Taipei.

The team’s dominant performance in the group stage has raised hopes of a strong showing in the knockout rounds.
