Pakistan raises LNG prices by up to 16.17%

Pakistan has increased the price of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by as much as 16.17%, according to a new government notification issued by the relevant authorities. The revised prices will apply to both of the country’s major gas distribution companies, reflecting a significant rise in the cost of imported LNG.

Under the updated pricing structure, the LNG price for the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) system has increased by **$2.59 per million British thermal units (MMBtu)**. As a result, the new price for consumers connected to the SSGC network now stands at **$18.64 per MMBtu**.

Similarly, the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) system has seen an increase of **$2.54 per MMBtu**. The revised LNG price for the SNGPL network has been set at **$19.52 per MMBtu**.

The latest adjustment reflects higher imported LNG costs and will affect consumers supplied through both gas distribution networks. Energy prices remain a key concern for households and businesses, as any increase in LNG costs can influence industrial production expenses and overall energy bills.
