Pakistani martial artist makes Guinness World Record with weighted punches

Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsood has made another Guinness World Record with an impactful feat involving full-extension one-hand punches.

PESHAWAR: Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsood has made another Guinness World Record with an impactful feat involving full-extension one-hand punches.

He performed 38 full-extension one-hand punches in one minute while carrying a 10-kilogram weight.

Mehsood said the target set by Guinness World Records was 30 punches, which he surpassed to claim the record, Geo News reported.

According to the Guinness World Records certificate, the feat was achieved in Dera Ismail Khan on March 19, 2026.

He has already established 70 world records in the push-up category, the highest number at the global level in the discipline, Mehsood added.

Mehsood has previously set world records while carrying weights of 100, 80, 60 and 40 pounds.

He said he has broken records held by competitors from more than 20 countries, including the United States, India and Germany.

The record-holder’s achievements span a range of strength and fitness disciplines, including push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, step-ups, knee strikes, elbow strikes, side jumps, high jumps and star jumps.

Mehsood has also inspired a new generation of athletes, with 20 of his students going on to achieve Guinness World Records.
