The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has installed the advanced TruMan 3 bowling machine at the National Cricket Academy, becoming the first cricket board in the world to use the technology, according to Director of High Performance Aaqib Javed.
PCB said the new system is designed to provide batters with a more realistic match-like training experience helping them improve their technique and decision-making.
A key feature of the TruMan 3 is its high-contrast LED animation of a bowler on the front screen allowing batters to better judge the bowler’s action, release point and timing. The machine also enables coaches to adjust pace, line, length, swing and bounce while saving customized deliveries, overs and spells to recreate realistic match scenarios.
Aaqib Javed said the technology offers a much more authentic practice environment than conventional bowling machines by combining ball delivery with a visual simulation of a bowler.
Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha also welcomed the innovation, saying it is a significant step forward for modern cricket and will help players improve their timing and batting skills.
