Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the federal budget for the upcoming fiscal year was prepared with dedication and careful planning, emphasizing that the well-being of the people remained the government’s foremost priority.

Earlier, while meeting a delegation from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Shehbaz Sharif described the party as a key coalition partner and appreciated its role in advancing the government’s development and public welfare agenda.

The prime minister noted that cooperation between the government and MQM has contributed positively to efforts aimed at economic recovery and national progress, adding that the partnership would continue in the spirit of public service and national interest.

The federal government is set to unveil a Rs17.5 trillion budget for the fiscal year 2026-27, with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb scheduled to present the budget in the National Assembly.
