Problems by NCP vehicles in Balochistan

The increasing presence of non duty paid (NCP) vehicles in different parts of Balochistan has become a matter of growing concern. While these vehicles are often purchased because they are cheaper than legally imported ones, their widespread use has created several economic, legal, and administrative problems that deserve immediate attention.

One of the major concerns is the loss of government revenue, as customs duties and taxes are not paid on such vehicles. This deprives the national exchequer of funds that could otherwise be used for education, healthcare, infrastructure, and other public services. Moreover, the illegal trade of these vehicles encourages smuggling and undermines the rule of law.

Another issue is the uncertainty faced by vehicle owners. Since many NCP vehicles are not legally registered for regular road use, they remain at risk of being seized during enforcement operations. This results in financial losses for people who have invested their savings in purchasing such vehicles.

The government should strengthen border management, improve customs enforcement, and take effective measures to discourage the illegal trade of vehicles. At the same time, public awareness campaigns should inform citizens about the legal and financial risks associated with purchasing non duty paid vehicles. Practical and transparent policies can also help encourage the use of legally imported and properly registered vehicles.

It is hoped that the concerned authorities will address this issue with fairness and determination to protect the country’s economy, uphold the law, and promote a transparent vehicle market.
