Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has directed party members of the National Assembly and Senate to support the federal budget, marking a significant political development ahead of key parliamentary proceedings.

According to reports, an important consultative meeting was held in Islamabad on the invitation of Barrister Gohar, where senior party leaders including Amir Dogar and Junaid Akbar participated. The meeting focused on internal party strategy, the ongoing political situation, and upcoming legislative decisions.

During the meeting, participants strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Bannu and offered prayers for the martyrs. They also expressed concern and regret over the convictions and sentences of senior PTI leaders including Ejaz Chaudhry, Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, Omar Cheema, and Yasmin Rashid.

Sources said that the leadership also reviewed multiple options regarding efforts for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan. The issue remains a central point of discussion within the party’s political strategy.

It was further decided that a high-level consultative meeting would be convened in Islamabad immediately after the budget session to finalize the party’s future course of action. According to PTI insiders, opposition leaders in the National Assembly and Senate, including Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Nasir Abbas, are expected to attend the upcoming meeting.

Party sources indicate that the upcoming discussions will focus on developing a comprehensive and effective strategy for securing the release of the party founder while addressing broader political challenges.

In a notable development, Barrister Gohar instructed party lawmakers to support the federal budget in parliament. He also emphasized that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and provincial government are considered a trust of the party’s founder, reflecting the leadership’s continued alignment with his political vision.

The directive is being seen as an important shift in PTI’s parliamentary approach, as the party navigates complex political and legal challenges while preparing for its next phase of political strategy.
