PTI expands street movement to Sindh, 5-day campaign set to begin Sep 3

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to take its ongoing Street Movement to Sindh, with the party leadership scheduled to conduct a five-day campaign across the province from September 3 to 7.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan said the programme had been finalized during a consultative meeting attended by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Secretary General Salman Akram Raja and other senior party leaders.

According to the schedule, the Sindh campaign will begin on September 3 from Kamo Shaheed in Ghotki. PTI leaders will then visit different parts of the province from September 3 to 6 and address public gatherings as part of the party’s effort to broaden its political outreach.

The Sindh leg will conclude in Karachi on September 6. The following day, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and other central leaders will attend a Lawyers’ Convention at the Sindh High Court Bar, organised by the Sindh High Court Bar Association.

Shafi Jan said the party would subsequently take the campaign to Punjab and Balochistan as part of its wider nationwide political mobilisation.

He added that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had successfully spearheaded the Street Movement in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa under the directions of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan.
