Punjab offers 10% token tax discount until August 31

The Government of Punjab has introduced a limited-time 10% discount on Motor Vehicle Token Tax payments, giving vehicle owners an opportunity to save money while meeting their tax obligations. The discount will remain available until August 31, 2026

The initiative aims to encourage timely tax payments, improve compliance, and reduce the burden of late payment penalties. Authorities have advised vehicle owners to take advantage of the concession before the deadline to avoid additional charges and keep their vehicle records up to date.

Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the province’s digital payment system reflects the government’s commitment to modern and citizen-focused governance. He noted that the e-Pay Punjab platform offers a secure, transparent, and convenient way for people to pay government taxes and fees without unnecessary delays.

He added that expanding digital public services remains a key priority for the provincial government, as technology continues to improve accessibility, simplify payment procedures, and enhance service delivery across Punjab.

Vehicle owners can pay their Motor Vehicle Token Tax through the e-Pay Punjab platform and receive the 10% discount by completing their payment before **August 31, 2026**.
