Queen Camilla has reunited with King Charles during his Caribbean tour, joining the monarch for a Sunday church service in Antigua and Barbuda.
The royal couple attended a service at St John’s Pentecostal House of Restoration in the capital, St John’s, on Sunday. Their appearance was part of the King’s visit to the Caribbean ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
Camilla attracted attention with her vibrant turquoise outfit. She wore a chiffon dress by designer Anna Valentine, choosing a colourful look suited to the warm Caribbean weather.
The service was also attended by Lady Sandra Williams and former West Indies cricket legend Sir Viv Richards, who joined the royal couple for the occasion.
Camilla’s arrival marked the fifth day of Charles’s nine-day Caribbean tour. The King had initially travelled without his wife, visiting the Bahamas and Guyana before reaching Antigua and Barbuda on October 30.
The Queen joined him in the Caribbean over the weekend, following the earlier stages of the royal visit. Her travel schedule reportedly reflected the demands of long-haul journeys.
Royal commentator Emily Nash of Hello! magazine said Camilla was expected to join the King in Antigua and Barbuda rather than accompany him throughout the entire tour. She also noted that the Queen does not particularly enjoy lengthy flights.
The couple’s joint appearance comes as they prepare for engagements connected to the Commonwealth summit. Their visit highlights the importance of the Caribbean region to the royal family’s Commonwealth programme.
