The festival will take place at Seaclose Park in Newport, on the Isle of Wight, from June 17 to 20, marking the 25th edition since the event was revived in 2002.

American rock band Kings of Leon will close the festival on Sunday. The Grammy- and BRIT Award-winning group is known for songs including “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody”.

Other acts announced include Bastille, Courteeners, Rudimental, Becky Hill, Kaiser Chiefs, 5 Seconds of Summer, Jack Savoretti, Scouting for Girls, Myles Smith, Inhaler, The Cardigans, T’Pau, Aaron Rowe and The Lilacs. The line-up also features Cruz Beckham and The Breakers, with further acts expected to be announced.

Festival director Caroline Giddings said the headliners offered a range of musical styles and that the event would provide more than live music, including food and other entertainment.

A 48-hour presale exclusively for PayPal customers opened on October 23. General ticket sales are due to begin at 8am on Monday, October 26, organisers said.

The festival will also offer entertainment areas and spaces where visitors can relax away from the main stages, organisers said.
