A case has been registered after two armed suspects allegedly robbed a trader’s employee of Rs. 2.5 million in Karachi’s Saddar area. Police have started an investigation after recording the statement of the complainant.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered at Preedy Police Station, the complainant, identified as Muhammad Ishaq, stated that he worked as a recovery officer at an electronics shop. He said that he and his colleague had collected Rs. 2.5 million as part of their recovery duties and returned to their office.

The complainant further stated that after placing the collected money in a bag, they were heading to hand over the amount to their employer, identified as Shahzaib, when the incident occurred.

According to the FIR, two unidentified motorcycle riders intercepted them and allegedly held them at gunpoint. The suspects reportedly threatened them with weapons and snatched the bag containing the cash.

The complainant also alleged that the robbers physically assaulted them when they attempted to resist. After taking the money, the suspects escaped from the scene.

Police officials confirmed that the FIR has been registered based on the complainant’s statement and that an investigation has been launched. Authorities are collecting evidence, including available information from the crime scene, to identify and arrest the suspects involved in the robbery.

Robbery incidents involving traders and cash-carrying employees have remained a major security concern in Karachi, particularly in busy commercial areas. Police have increased efforts to track suspects through intelligence gathering, surveillance footage, and other investigative methods.
