According to sources, left-handed batter Saud Shakeel is currently recovering from an injury and his inclusion in the Test squad remains uncertain.
Reports suggest that due to his fitness issues, the middle-order batter may miss out on selection. As a precaution, another middle-order batter is being called into the training camp as a potential replacement.
Sources added that injury concerns are forcing selectors to make more changes to the Test squad than originally planned.
Earlier, reports also emerged that wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan was struggling with fitness problems. As a result, Rohail Nazir has been added to the red-ball camp as a possible replacement.
