Former Pakistan Test captain and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan is at risk of missing the upcoming tour of the West Indies due to fitness issues.
Rizwan is currently part of Pakistan’s red-ball training camp but reports suggest that the 34-year-old wicketkeeper-batter who joined the camp a week late has been undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of doctors and has not been taking part in practice sessions.
The PCB medical team is scheduled to conduct Rizwan’s fitness test on July 6 at the training camp in Lahore.
Pakistan is expected to depart for the West Indies on July 15 for a two-Test series.
If Rizwan is unable to regain full fitness in time, wicketkeepers Ghazi Ghori and Rohail Nazir are likely to travel with the squad as alternatives.
