Security forces kill 3 militants in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Security forces have killed three militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, as counterterrorism efforts continue across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision.

According to security sources, the operation was launched after authorities received intelligence about the presence of militants in the area. Security personnel moved against the suspected hideout and killed three militants during the operation.

The sources said security forces remain focused on dismantling militant networks and preventing them from carrying out attacks in the region. Intelligence-based operations continue to target suspected militants, their facilitators and hideouts in areas considered vulnerable to terrorist activity.

Officials said the latest action reflects the continued efforts of security forces to disrupt militant networks and reduce the threat of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operations also aim to prevent militants from regrouping and establishing new operational bases.

The development comes a day after security forces conducted another intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan and killed eight militants. Security sources said three of those killed in the previous operation were key commanders of Fitna al-Khawarij.

Security operations against militant groups have intensified in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as authorities continue efforts to improve security and eliminate terrorist threats from the province.
