Sialkot International Airport has rejected reports claiming that a Qatar Airways flight from Doha made an emergency landing in occupied Jammu, describing the reports as the result of inaccurate flight-tracking information.
According to airport spokesperson Umair Khan, the Qatar Airways flight arrived at Sialkot International Airport from Doha on the morning of September 27 and later departed for Doha according to its scheduled operation.
The spokesperson said the flight was incorrectly displayed at a different location on FlightRadar24 because of a technical issue and inaccurate GPS data.
He further clarified that the aircraft landed at Sialkot International Airport rather than Jammu. The flight’s arrival can also be verified through the radar system operated by the Pakistan Airports Authority, he added.
