The fifth week of Strictly Come Dancing 2026 delivered another night of dazzling costumes, energetic routines and intense competition as 12 remaining couples battled for the judges’ approval and a place in the next round.
Tabby Stoecker and professional partner Mark Karmalita claimed the top spot on the leaderboard with an impressive 37 points. Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington followed closely with 34 points, as both couples earned the first perfect 10s awarded by the judges this series.
John Nellis and Katya Jones secured third place with 32 points. Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley, Will Best and Dianne Buswell, and Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin each received 31 points, keeping the competition tight among the leading couples.
At the other end of the leaderboard, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Alexis Warr faced a challenging week after scoring just 17 points. Their position left them vulnerable ahead of the results show. Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystał also struggled, earning 19 points.
Cach Mercer and Maddie Ingoldsby collected 24 points, while Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu and Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu each finished with 25 points.
The latest performances followed the previous week’s elimination of Paralympian Dame Sarah Storey and her professional partner, Julian Caillon. The pair had faced Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu in the dance-off, but the judges chose to save Antonia and Xu.
Attention now turns to the results show on Sunday, October 25, when the public vote and judges’ decisions will determine which couple leaves the competition. Viewers can support their favourite contestants through the BBC’s official Strictly Come Dancing website or by scanning the QR code shown during the broadcast.
With the leaderboard revealing a clear gap between the highest- and lowest-scoring couples, the next results show could prove decisive for those struggling to secure their place in the competition.
