“The plane landed at Vnukovo Airport,” a source told Russian media.

Motorcade vehicles were spotted arriving at the airport to meet the delegation before it travels onward to Kyiv.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Trump confirmed Witkoff and Kushner’s visit to Russia and Ukraine to discuss an idea for a peace deal between the two warring parties.

Trump also suggested that the US had “a fresh concrete proposal” and was trying hard to end the war, which has been ongoing for four and a half years. However, he did not reveal details of the proposal.

It had earlier not been confirmed whether Kushner and Witkoff would be travelling to Ukraine, Russia or both nations.

“We have an idea for peace,” Trump said.
