Two snakes rescued from Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat residence

Two snakes were recently discovered at the Mumbai residence of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, popularly known as Mannat, creating a brief scare among the staff and security personnel at the iconic property.

The incident reportedly took place at Shah Rukh Khan’s sprawling residence in the Bandstand area of Mumbai, one of the city’s most prominent celebrity neighbourhoods. The snakes were spotted in the lawn of the property, prompting the household staff to seek professional help to safely remove them from the premises.

A snake rescuer, identified as Vicky Dube, was reportedly called to Mannat at around 8pm after the presence of the reptiles was noticed. He arrived at the residence and began a rescue operation to locate and safely capture both snakes without causing harm to the animals or putting residents and staff at risk.

During the operation, one of the snakes was found hiding underneath a staircase. The rescuer managed to capture it safely. However, the second snake reportedly slipped away and made its way inside the house, making the situation more challenging for the rescue team.

The team continued searching the property until the second snake was eventually located and brought under control. The successful rescue operation ensured that both reptiles were removed from the residence without any reported injuries.

One of the snakes was identified as an Indian rat snake measuring approximately eight feet in length. The species is known to be non-venomous and is generally not considered dangerous to humans. The identification reportedly helped reassure Mannat’s security guards and staff members, who had understandably been concerned after discovering the snakes on the property.

Following their capture, the snakes were taken away from the residential area and released into a suitable natural habitat. The rescue team’s efforts allowed the animals to be safely relocated while also ensuring the safety of everyone at the residence.

The unexpected appearance of the snakes at Mannat quickly became an interesting development because of the international fame associated with Shah Rukh Khan and his home. Mannat, located along Mumbai’s Bandstand, is one of the city’s best-known celebrity residences and regularly attracts attention from fans and tourists.

The property has become closely associated with Shah Rukh Khan’s immense popularity, with fans frequently gathering outside its gates hoping to catch a glimpse of the actor. While the presence of two snakes caused a temporary concern for those inside the residence, the situation was ultimately brought under control after both reptiles were successfully rescued and relocated.

The incident also highlights the challenges that can arise when wildlife enters residential areas, particularly properties surrounded by outdoor spaces. Rather than harming the snakes, the rescue team ensured that they were safely captured and returned to a more suitable environment.

With both snakes confirmed to be non-venomous, the incident ended without any major consequences, allowing the staff at Mannat to return to their routine after the unusual nighttime encounter.
