This is the highest 0amount ever earned by the country’s IT and freelance sector in a single year. It is a proud moment for the nation and a clear sign of the hidden talent present in Pakistani youth.

Ibrahim Amin, Chairman of the Freelancers Association of Pakistan, shared this exciting news. He said that freelancers are playing a major role in bringing valuable foreign exchange into the country. Just a few years ago, in 2022, freelance earnings stood at only 400 million dollars. Now, in 2026, this figure has jumped to 1.6 billion dollars. This huge growth shows how fast young Pakistanis are learning new skills and competing successfully in the global market.

What makes this achievement even more inspiring is where much of this talent is coming from. Many young freelancers belong to remote and underdeveloped areas of Pakistan. These young people often face serious challenges such as load shedding, slow internet and limited resources. Despite all these difficulties, they continue to learn new skills, conduct research and offer their services to clients around the world. Their dedication and hard work deserve great appreciation.

Pakistan has a huge advantage that many countries do not have. More than sixty percent of its population is young. Ibrahim Amin believes that if the government and private sector provide proper training, mentorship and support, this number could rise to 10 billion dollars every year.
