What’s really behind Millie Bobby Brown’s fashion venture?

Millie Bobby Brown has opened up about the purpose behind her journey from a successful acting career to becoming a businesswoman, revealing that her fashion brand is aimed at helping women feel confident in their own way.

The Stranger Things star launched Florence by Mills Fashion in January 2024. The brand has since expanded its range to include loungewear, everyday basics, outerwear and intimates, offering products designed for different styles and preferences.

Brown, 22, recently shared a video on Instagram featuring pieces from her latest collection. Alongside the clip, she explained that the idea behind the clothing line was to encourage women to feel beautiful without being pressured to follow a particular standard of appearance.

The actress launched the brand’s first collection, Cosy Crush, in partnership with Delta Galil USA. The products are priced at different levels, with some items available for less than $10 and premium pieces costing up to around $95.

Florence by Mills has also grown beyond fashion, offering beauty products and lifestyle categories such as bags and luggage, coffee, eyewear, fragrances and pet products.

Brown has said that empowering women is one of the key motivations behind the business. The company also contributes one per cent of every purchase to selected nonprofit organisations, including Girls Inc., One Tree Planted, PERIOD and Project Glimmer.

The fashion collection is available through the brand’s official website, Amazon and selected retail partners.

Alongside her business ventures, Brown continues to pursue acting projects. Her upcoming work includes Enola Holmes 3, Nineteen Steps and Just Picture It.
