According to police officials the shooting took place near Sardi Khel Adda in Bakkakhel tehsil where the two brothers were targeted by unknown individuals.

The victims were identified as Rasool Muhammad and Hafeezullah residents of Sardi Khel in Bannu. Both brothers sustained critical injuries in the firing and died as a result of the attack.

Following the incident police and other relevant authorities reached the area and initiated initial investigations into the shooting.

Police officials said the bodies of the two brothers were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Bannu for post-mortem examinations.

The motive behind the shooting has not yet been established. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and attempting to determine the identity and whereabouts of the assailants.

Police said further investigation was underway and that additional details would be shared as the inquiry progresses.
