Karachi: Police recovered the body of a man from a house in Surjani Town, Karachi with officials estimating that he had been dead for approximately 10 to 12 days.

According to police authorities the deceased was identified as Azhar, son of Yaseen. His body was discovered inside his residence prompting officials to begin an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Police said Azhar had been living alone at the house following a dispute with his family. He had reportedly remained separated from his relatives since the disagreement.

Authorities said the body was shifted to a hospital for necessary legal and medical procedures. Further details about the cause of death were not immediately available.

Police have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident and determine the events leading up to the man’s death.
