BTS leader RM has urged fans to stop gathering outside the group’s hotels, saying large crowds in Lima have disrupted the sleep of members and staff ahead of the group’s concerts in Peru.
RM made the appeal through the fan platform Weverse during BTS’ Peru tour stop. He said it was his first visit to the country and that he was excited to be there, but the situation outside the hotel had become difficult for the group.
According to RM, fans had been waiting outside the hotel throughout the day, creating enough noise to disturb people inside their rooms. He said the members and staff had been struggling to get sufficient rest.
The BTS leader also pointed out that the crowds were affecting other guests staying at the hotel. He warned that a lack of sleep could ultimately affect the group’s performances on stage.
RM extended his request to fans throughout the ongoing tour, asking them not to gather outside hotels in upcoming destinations, including Chile, Brazil and Argentina, as well as future stops in Asia.
While asking fans to respect the group’s privacy, RM praised ARMY, BTS’ global fanbase, describing them as some of the world’s best fans. He expressed hope that the group and its supporters could maintain a more respectful and mature relationship.
The singer ended his message by thanking fans for their continued support and expressing his affection for them.
RM’s appeal follows a similar request from fellow BTS member V, who has previously asked fans to avoid waiting outside the group’s hotels and to respect their privacy.
The Lima performances are particularly significant as they mark BTS’ first visit to Peru. The concerts are part of the group’s 88-show Arirang World Tour, which is taking BTS to audiences across several countries.
