LAHORE: The City School Muslim Town Campus organised its first-ever Sports Fest Genesis Edition, bringing together more than 400 participants for a three-day event featuring futsal, chess, arm wrestling, badminton, dodgeball, e-games, table tennis and other activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Head of Campus Shoaib Ahmed Qureshi said the festival aimed to promote physical fitness, mental development and extracurricular participation while identifying young talent for future sporting opportunities. He also highlighted student Uswa Niazi’s achievements in international horseback archery competitions.
Asad Aamir, general secretary of the organising committee, described the event as a successful initiative and a valuable learning experience, emphasising that sports help students develop confidence, practical thinking and essential life skills.
Meanwhile, a national-level Under-22 football player who has represented Punjab, stressed the need to support young athletes and establish more teams to help Pakistan compete internationally in futsal. He also shared his experience as a coach at Lahore Blue Football Club and Fame FC.
