*Screwdriver Holes, Broken Neck, 27cm Head Wound – Can One Servant Do It All? Family Rejects Police Probe, Demands Judicial Commission*
LAHORE / RAWALPINDI / ISLAMABAD : Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has broken her silence on the highly sensitive Hina Javed murder case, saying forensic evidence points to the domestic servant, but investigation is still ongoing.
In her latest tweet, the Chief Minister said:
> *”I am keeping a close watch. The DNA test results and polygraph test suggest that the murder and rape were committed by the servant, however the investigation is ongoing”.*
The statement comes at a time when the case has triggered national outrage after horrific autopsy pictures surfaced and serious legal questions were raised over declaring any suspect innocent before challan.
*What The CM’s Tweet Confirms:*
1. *Forensic Direction:* The Chief Minister has confirmed that both *DNA and polygraph* point towards servant *Zeeshan Arshad*.
2. *Official Oversight:* The CM is personally monitoring the case.
3. *Investigation Not Closed:* Despite forensic direction, probe is still open, meaning other angles have not been legally closed.
This is significant because earlier it was conveyed through Crime Control Department (CCD) that the husband Dr. Faisal Asghar was innocent and only the servant was responsible, even before challan. Legally, police cannot declare anyone innocent or guilty before court decides. The CM’s tweet corrects that premature narrative by saying investigation is ongoing.
*The Horrific Autopsy – Why Nation Is Shocked:*
The medico-legal report that surfaced on *23rd October 2026* paints a picture of extreme torture:
– Deep torture wounds on face, neck, arms and hands
– Lips torn, multiple bruises across body
– *Neck broken during torture*
– *27-centimeter long deep wound on back of head*
– Collection of blood in membrane around lungs and heart
– *Holes drilled in both elbows allegedly with screwdriver*
New pictures of torture marks have surfaced since then, raising a central investigative question being asked by senior officers themselves: *Can one man alone inflict this level of prolonged torture, tie hands behind back, and stage a hanging?*
A senior police officer privy to crime scene analysis told Minute Mirror on condition of anonymity:
> “On the basis of crime scene, circumstances and reports, this cannot be work of a single accused alone. It is impossible for one person to do all this. There is strong possibility of involvement of at least two or more persons.”
*The Forensic Breakthrough – PFSA Report:*
The *Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA)* has provided the strongest evidence so far:
– *Skin particles and tissue recovered from victim’s nails matched with DNA of servant Zeeshan Arshad*, indicating a struggle.
– *DNA from bedsheet and other articles also matched.*
– Report also indicates *alleged sexual assault after murder*.
On this basis, Zeeshan was declared main accused. Police also claim he has confessed. He was described as a habitual offender, though verifiable record of previous convictions has not been made public so far.
*The Most Controversial Twist – “Forced To Do It”:*
In a new and murkier twist, *parents of the servant have reportedly stated that their son did assault the victim, but claimed he was forced to do it*.
If true, this statement directly opens the door for conspiracy, abetment and involvement of other persons who allegedly forced him.
The family of Hina Javed, including brother *Fahad Javed*, has seized on this point, alleging that the servant is being used as a scapegoat to save influential accused.
*Legal Controversy – Innocent Before Challan?*
Normally, police, CCD or any agency does not declare an accused innocent before submitting challan under Section 173 Cr.P.C, as determination of guilt is the domain of the trial court.
In this case, the husband Dr. Faisal Asghar was conveyed as innocent through official channels before forensic reports were even fully debated, and before polygraph results were shared with the family. This is being seen by legal experts as highly premature.
Both husband Dr. Faisal Asghar and servant Zeeshan Arshad are currently in *Adiala Jail on judicial remand*. Case was registered at *PS Civil Lines Rawalpindi* on 20th August 2026 on complaint of Hina’s brother against husband, father-in-law Asghar Ali and servant.
Hina Javed, 45, a digital media executive, was found dead inside the bathroom of her house in *Lal Kurti, Askari Apartments, Rawalpindi*, with hands tied behind back and wire around neck. The initial attempt, family alleges, was to portray it as suicide by hanging body with shower.
*Parliament Takes Notice:*
After public outrage, the *National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior has taken formal notice* and summoned a special meeting on *29th October 2026*.
Summoned are *Additional IG Police, RPO Rawalpindi, SSP Investigation and family of victim Hina Javed* to review investigation progress, PFSA DNA report, polygraph results and crime scene.
*Family Rejects Govt Committee:*
Punjab Government had formed a high-powered committee under *Additional IG Sohail Zafar Chattha* on directions of CM Maryam Nawaz to probe the case.
The family has rejected it, alleging police is trying to save real accused, and has demanded *Chief Justice of Pakistan / Lahore High Court to form a Judicial Commission* for transparent probe.
*Key Questions Parliament Must Answer on 29th Oct:*
1. If DNA matches servant, does it rule out presence of others? Nail scrapings show struggle with one person, but who tied hands and staged hanging?
2. What is verifiable evidence of servant being habitual criminal?
3. Why was husband declared innocent before challan and before family was heard?
4. What does “forced to do it” mean – who forced him and why?
5. Why polygraph, which is not admissible as primary evidence in court, being cited as basis for direction when PFSA DNA is still to be cross-examined?
6. Whether screwdriver torture, broken neck and 27cm head wound can be inflicted by one person alone in a house where other family members were present?
CM Maryam Nawaz’s tweet that investigation is ongoing has kept the door open. The 29th October meeting will now decide whether investigation should remain a one-man crime or be expanded as a case of possible cover-up and joint murder.
