Dakota Johnson seemingly confirms MGK romance

Dakota Johnson has seemingly given her strongest hint yet about her reported romance with Machine Gun Kelly, with Taylor Swift appearing to cheer her on during a playful moment on Saturday Night Live.

The actress, who turned 37 shortly after hosting the October 3 episode, joked about her dating history during her opening monologue. Johnson previously had high-profile relationships with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and musician Role Model.

Referring to her past breakups, Johnson joked that she had gone through two highly publicised splits from musicians and was now “looking for a third”.

She then compared dating musicians to a “psychosexual erotic thriller”, linking the joke to her upcoming film Verity.

Johnson also spoke about having supportive friends who do not judge her choice of partners. At that moment, Swift joined her on stage, adding to the playful exchange.

The actress then appeared to reference her growing romance rumours with MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker. Johnson joked that dating musicians was almost a public service because it could save women money on antidepressants.

Her mention of Cleveland drew a particularly enthusiastic reaction from Swift. MGK is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, while Swift’s husband, Travis Kelce, also has strong ties to the state.

Johnson and MGK have been linked romantically in recent weeks. Reports previously claimed that the pair met at Swift and Kelce’s wedding in May.

The two were also reportedly spotted together in New York in September. They were seen getting out of a black SUV before entering Swift’s apartment in TriBeCa.

Neither Johnson nor MGK has publicly confirmed the relationship. However, Johnson’s latest SNL jokes have added fresh fuel to speculation surrounding the pair.
