Special ATC Judge Muhammad Ali Mubeen approved the remand after CTD officials produced Dr Ayesha before the court and requested custody for further investigation.

Officials said multiple cases have been registered against the former police surgeon, with proceedings involving the CTD and the National Commission for Child Rights also under investigation.

The development follows Dr Ayesha’s arrest in connection with allegations concerning statements reportedly made against the state and state institutions.

Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Lango said the police action was taken because of the alleged statements and insisted that the matter was related to the state and its institutions.

Lango also rejected reports suggesting that Dr Ayesha’s arrest was connected to her recent criticism of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti or the home minister himself.

According to the minister, he was not concerned about personal criticism and said the issue was instead related to allegations involving the state and its institutions.

The court’s decision means that CTD officials will retain custody of Dr Ayesha for three days while investigators continue examining the case.

Authorities have not publicly disclosed all details of the allegations or the evidence being examined during the investigation.

The case is expected to attract further attention as investigators proceed with questioning and other legal procedures.

For now, the three-day remand marks the latest development in the Dr Ayesha Faiz case, while further proceedings are likely to determine the direction of the investigation.
