MUZAFFARABAD: An eight-member cabinet of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) was formally sworn into office on Friday, marking the induction of the new ministerial team into the regional government.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the President House in Muzaffarabad, where Acting AJK President Chaudhry Tariq Farooq administered the oath to the newly appointed cabinet members.
The ceremony brought together the incoming ministers, government representatives and other officials as the new cabinet formally assumed its constitutional responsibilities.
Those inducted into the cabinet included Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Waqar Noor, Dr Mustafa Bashir Abbasi, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Saqib Majeed Raja, Raja Riyasat, Umair Naeem and Abdul Rehman Arain.
With the oath administered, the eight members have officially become part of the AJK government and are expected to begin performing their respective ministerial duties.
