Gigi Perez joins hunger games soundtrack with new single favor

Gigi Perez has joined the star-studded soundtrack of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping with her new song, Favor.

Announced on October 29, the track was written and produced by Perez alongside Aidan Hobbs and became available on streaming platforms on October 30.

Perez described contributing to the franchise as a major honour, revealing that the Hunger Games stories have influenced her since she was 12. She explained that Favor draws on her personal experiences with grief and the longing to reconnect with loved ones who have passed away.

The upcoming soundtrack, set for release on November 13 through MCA, will also feature music from previous Hunger Games films. These include Deep in the Meadow, sung by Katniss in the original film, and The Old Therebefore, featured in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Noah Kahan previously contributed the song Draw You Out to the project.

Meanwhile, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 20. Based on Suzanne Collins’ 2025 novel, the film follows a young Haymitch Abernathy as he competes in the brutal 50th Hunger Games, known as the Second Quarter Quell.

Joseph Zada stars as the younger Haymitch, alongside Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove. The ensemble cast also includes Elle Fanning, McKenna Grace, Ralph Fiennes, Kieran Culkin, Jesse Plemons, and Kelvin Harrison Jr.
