ISLAMABAD: The Metro Bus service in Islamabad has been completely suspended today, authorities confirmed.
The suspension applies to the Islamabad section of the route, affecting daily commuters who rely on the service for travel within the capital.
However, in Rawalpindi, the Metro Bus service will continue to operate on a limited schedule. Officials said the service will run from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM in the Rawalpindi section.
Authorities further clarified that Metro Bus operations will remain active between Saddar Station and Faizabad. This means passengers can still use the service on this portion of the route during operating hours.
In contrast, the section from IJP Road Station to Pak Secretariat Station will remain completely closed for the day.
Officials have not provided detailed reasons for the suspension but said the decision was taken for operational and administrative arrangements.
Commuters have been advised to plan their travel in advance and use alternative transport options where necessary. Authorities also urged passengers to stay updated on further announcements regarding service restoration.
