According to aviation sources, a hijacking alert was reportedly activated after an alleged physical confrontation between the two pilots during the flight. The sources said there was no actual hijacking of the aircraft.

One of the pilots allegedly attempted to rapidly bring the aircraft down from an altitude of 30,000 feet to 15,000 feet. The other pilot reportedly intervened and took control of the aircraft.

Israeli media reported that the pilot who allegedly attempted to crash the aircraft was an Omani national while the second pilot was from the United Arab Emirates.

The aircraft was initially turned back toward Dubai before later being diverted toward Israel according to flight data cited in the report.

The incident prompted an emergency landing in Tabuk after which both injured pilots were taken to hospital. Further details surrounding the reported confrontation and the circumstances that led to the emergency landing remain under investigation.
