Jeff Bezos, the founder of the global e-commerce giant Amazon has shared his views on how artificial intelligence (AI) will affect humanity in the future.
According to Bezos, AI will increase demand for human workers rather than reduce it. Speaking at a technology event in Paris, he said: “I know that many people including a number of highly intelligent individuals are concerned that AI will make human workers unnecessary.”
However, Bezos said he disagrees with that view. “I believe AI will actually increase the workforce and create greater demand for people.”
Different view from many experts
Bezos prediction differs from the concerns expressed by many analysts and technology experts who argue that AI could lead to the loss of millions of jobs worldwide.
The Amazon founder believes that AI will not eliminate employment opportunities. Instead, it will create new kinds of jobs, open up emerging industries and generate demand for skills that do not yet exist on a large scale.
According to him, AI should be viewed as a tool that expands human capabilities rather than replaces them.
Focus on space exploration
During his remarks, Bezos also emphasized the importance of space exploration. He said that humanity should devote greater attention to exploring and expanding into space with the Moon serving as the first major destination.
According to Bezos: “We are going to the Moon not just to visit but to stay.” He added that establishing a permanent human presence on the Moon would support future space missions and help humanity explore deeper regions of space.
Jeff Bezos believes that AI will create more opportunities than it removes leading to increased demand for workers and the emergence of new industries. At the same time, he sees space exploration particularly the development of a human base on the Moon as a crucial step in humanity’s long-term future.
