The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the results for first-year Intermediate students enrolled in the Science Pre-Engineering group.
According to the Board’s examination authorities a total of 14,683 candidates appeared in the examinations. Out of these 6,310 students successfully passed all six papers marking the largest group of candidates who cleared the complete set of subjects.
The results also showed varying levels of success among students who were unable to pass all six papers. According to the figures released by the Controller of Examinations 79 candidates passed five papers while 747 students cleared four papers.
Meanwhile, 1,827 candidates managed to pass three papers. The results further revealed that 1,864 students passed two papers while 1,783 candidates succeeded in passing only one paper.
The announcement provides an overall picture of the performance of students appearing in the first-year Pre-Engineering examinations under the Karachi Intermediate Board. Students who have passed all their subjects will be able to continue their academic journey toward the second year while those with failed papers may need to follow the Board’s procedures regarding supplementary or additional examinations subject to the rules applicable to their session.
