Karachi braces for three days of light rain

Karachi is expected to receive light rain and drizzle over the next three days as weather conditions remain influenced by moist winds from the Arabian Sea, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said.

The Met Office said moisture-filled currents from the Arabian Sea are entering upper and central parts of the country. A western weather system is also affecting northern regions.

According to the forecast, Karachi may experience stronger winds along with light rainfall on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

The city’s weather is expected to remain warm and humid. The minimum temperature is likely to stay between 28°C and 30°C, while the maximum temperature may range from 33°C to 35°C.

Humidity levels will remain high, with morning humidity expected between 70% and 80%. It may decrease to around 55% to 65% in the evening.

The PMD said most parts of Sindh will continue to experience hot and humid weather. However, several districts are likely to receive rain with thunderstorms and dust storms.

Rainfall is expected in areas including Dadu, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Sanghar.

Coastal areas of Sindh are likely to remain partly cloudy, with occasional strong winds and chances of light drizzle.

The weather department advised citizens to stay updated with weather alerts as changing conditions may affect routine activities in different areas.
