Karachi enjoys pleasant weather after overnight drizzle

Light drizzle in several parts of Karachi late at night brought relief from the city’s humid conditions and made the weather pleasant for residents.

KARACHI: Light drizzle in several parts of Karachi late at night brought relief from the city’s humid conditions and made the weather pleasant for residents.

Drizzle was reported in several central and major areas of the city. These included Saddar, II Chundrigar Road, Burns Road and surrounding localities.

Light showers were also observed along Shahrah-e-Faisal, Tariq Road, Bahadurabad and Jamshed Road.

The drizzle was not limited to the central parts of the city. Residents in areas including Saddar, Karachi Airport, Shah Faisal, Malir, Landhi and Korangi also reported light rain and scattered showers.

The light rainfall lowered the intensity of the hot and humid conditions in affected areas. The change in weather also provided some relief to people travelling and working outdoors during the night.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain in several parts of the country today.

According to the weather forecast, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are likely to receive rain.

Rain is also expected in adjoining hilly areas. Weather conditions in these regions may remain partly cloudy, with rainfall possible at different times during the day.

However, most other plains across the country are expected to remain hot and humid.

The weather department has advised residents to remain aware of local weather updates, particularly in areas where rain or thunderstorms are forecast.
